What’s what?

We often get asked what the difference between Jam and Jelly is. But those are not the only two ways to make delicious Fruit spread. There are many different ways to conserve fruit, so we decided to break them down for you, so you know what you are buying for you and your family.

Jam

The whole fruit is cooked and preserved. Jam is usually a little on the chunky side.

Jelly

Made with Fruit Juice, has no whole pieces of fruit, smooth and spreadable.

Conserve

Usually has some sort of nuts as well as fruit and possibly raisins.

Preserves

Contain whole pieces of fruit and we work with them gently to make sure the pieces stay whole in the cooking process.

Chutney

A spiced fruit relish that is sweet or savory, often used for meat and other savory dishes.
