What is the difference between jam and jelly?

Jam-the whole fruit, usually a little on the chunky side

Jelly-made with fruit juice, has no whole pieces of fruit, smooth and spreadable

Marmalade-

Conserve-usually has some sort of nut as well as fruit and possibly raisins

Preserves-  contain whole pieces of fruit and we work with them gently to make sure the pieces stay whole in the cooking process

Fruit Butter-smooth and cooked down. Fruit pulp and sugar slowly simmered to perfection for hours.
